Brighton and Hove is steep, dense and short of parking, with resident permit zones across most of the city, so bringing the tyre to the car makes far more sense than limping to a tyre centre on a flat. We cover the city centre, the Lanes, North Laine and the seafront, Hanover, Queen's Park and Kemptown, Preston Park, Withdean, Patcham and Hollingbury (BN1), Moulsecoomb, Bevendean, Whitehawk, Woodingdean, the Marina, Rottingdean and Saltdean (BN2), and the whole of Hove from Brunswick to Hangleton (BN3).
Along the coast we fit regularly in Portslade and Southwick, Shoreham-by-Sea and Lancing to the west, and Peacehaven, Newhaven and Seaford to the east, plus Falmer, Lewes and the villages up the A23 and A27. If you are not sure whether we reach you, contact us or call and we will tell you straight away.
The A23 brings most of Brighton's traffic down from the M23 and London, and the A27 bypass carries everything else east to Lewes and west to Worthing. A flat tyre on the Patcham stretch, the Devil's Dyke slip road or at the Falmer interchange on a match day is one of the most common calls we get. Tell us where you have stopped and whether you are on a live carriageway or in a lay-by, and we will tell you honestly how long we will be. We can meet you on the approach roads, in the Marina car parks, at the Amex or at any of the seafront car parks.
We also look after commuters using Brighton and Hove stations, visitors parked on Madeira Drive and Kingsway, and fleets based at Shoreham Port, Hove and the Moulsecoomb and Hollingbury industrial estates. If the tyre has shredded or the wheel is damaged, a flatbed from our recovery service can take the car to a garage of your choice.
Car towing and recovery in BrightonElm Grove, Southover Street, Albion Hill and the Hanover slopes mean tight parking on steep, narrow streets, and the kerbs take a toll on sidewalls. A scuffed sidewall with a bulge cannot be repaired and needs a new tyre before it fails on the A23.
Lewes Road, Ditchling Road, Dyke Road, Old Shoreham Road and the back streets off Marine Parade break up every winter. A pothole can split the inner sidewall where you cannot see it, so if the car pulls or the steering shakes, have the tyre checked.
Cars kept on Kingsway, Marine Parade, at the Marina or in Saltdean and Rottingdean suffer corroded alloy rims that leak slowly around the bead. We clean and seal the rim when we refit, which often cures a tyre that keeps going down.
Screws, bolts and shed lorry tread collect on the A23 between Pyecombe and Preston Circus and on the A27 bypass. Most are tread punctures and can be repaired; we check the whole tyre first and tell you if it is safe.
1
Call or WhatsApp with your tyre size and your postcode. The size is printed on the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16. If you cannot read it, send a photo of the sidewall and your registration and we will look it up.

We quote a fixed price that includes the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve, disposal of the old tyre and VAT, then agree a time. For emergencies in Brighton we aim for 30 to 60 minutes; booked jobs are usually same day or next day.

The fitter arrives in a fully equipped van, fits and balances the tyre next to the car, checks the pressures on the other three and takes the old tyre away for recycling through a licensed waste carrier.
For emergency call-outs in Brighton, Hove and Portslade we aim for 30 to 60 minutes, traffic on the A23, the A27 and the seafront permitting. Booked fittings are usually same day or next day at a time you choose. We give you an honest arrival time when you call.
Yes. Most of our Brighton work is on terraced streets in Hanover, Kemptown, Hove and Preston Park. The van only needs to stop beside the car for around half an hour, and we carry chocks and a jack that copes with the hills, so we can work from the road, a driveway or a car park.
Yes, 24 hours a day. If you are on a live carriageway, get everyone out of the car and behind the barrier, then call us. On the hard shoulder we fit the tyre if it is safe to do so; otherwise we recover the car to a safer spot first and fit it there.
Yes. Portslade, Southwick, Shoreham-by-Sea, Lancing, Peacehaven, Telscombe Cliffs, Newhaven, Seaford, Falmer, Lewes, Ditchling and Hassocks are all regular trips for us.
Yes. We regularly fit in car parks at the Marina, the Amex Stadium and the universities at Falmer and Moulsecoomb, at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, at Shoreham Port and on the Hollingbury and Portslade industrial estates. Ask us about fleet arrangements if you run several vehicles.
Both. A puncture in the central tread area is repaired to BS AU 159 for a flat fee. Damage to the sidewall, a tyre driven on while flat, or a bulge from a kerb strike cannot be repaired safely, and we will tell you so before we start.
Every area has its own page with local roads, postcodes and answers. You can also read about the full mobile tyre fitting service, our car towing and recovery service, or contact us with a question.
Do not wait at the roadside wondering who to call. One phone call gets a fitter or recovery truck on the way.
