Chichester is a small walled city with pedestrianised streets inside the walls, so the easiest place to meet is usually the nearest car park or your own driveway, and the bypass roundabouts are some of the busiest in Sussex. We cover the city centre, Whyke, Parklands, Summersdale, Portfield and Westhampnett (PO19), Fishbourne, Bosham, Lavant, Westbourne and Funtington (PO18), and Tangmere, Oving, Hunston, Birdham, the Witterings and Selsey (PO20).
Along the coast we fit regularly in Bognor Regis, Felpham and Pagham (PO21), Barnham, Westergate and Eastergate (PO22), and Emsworth and Southbourne towards Havant, and inland in Singleton, West Dean, Goodwood and up the A286 towards Midhurst. If you are not sure whether we reach you, contact us or call and we will tell you straight away.
The A27 bypass is Chichester's weak point: the Fishbourne, Stockbridge, Whyke, Bognor Road and Portfield roundabouts queue most of the day, and when the Festival of Speed, the Revival or a race meeting is on at Goodwood the A285, Stane Street and the lanes around Westhampnett fill up as well. A flat tyre in that traffic is miserable. Pull off onto a side road or into a car park if you can and call us. Tell us which roundabout you are near and we will tell you honestly how long we will be. We can meet you at Chichester Gate, Portfield retail park, the park and ride or your hotel.
We also look after the summer traffic down the A286 to the Witterings and the B2145 to Selsey, boat owners at Chichester Marina, Dell Quay and Bosham, and fleets based on Terminus Road, at Chichester Business Park and at the Rolls-Royce plant at Westhampnett. If the tyre is wrecked or the wheel is damaged, a flatbed from our recovery service can take the car wherever it needs to go.
Car towing and recovery in ChichesterThe chalk lanes up to Lavant, Singleton, West Dean, Goodwood and Funtington are full of flints after rain and ploughing. A flint can cut a sidewall, which means a new tyre rather than a repair, and we carry the common sizes on the van.
Oving Road, St Pancras, Westhampnett Road, Fishbourne Road and the Bognor Road stretch break up every winter. A pothole can split the inner sidewall where you cannot see it, so if the car pulls or the wheel vibrates, have it checked.
Cars kept at Bosham, where the shore road floods at high tide, at Dell Quay, the Marina or West Wittering suffer corroded alloy rims and slow leaks around the bead. We clean and seal the rim when we refit, which often cures a tyre that keeps going down.
Screws, bolts and shed tread collect on the A27 between Fishbourne and Tangmere, and the tight roundabouts catch inside wheels. Most punctures are in the tread and can be repaired; a bulged sidewall from a kerb strike cannot.

Call or WhatsApp with your tyre size and your postcode. The size is printed on the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16. If you cannot read it, send a photo of the sidewall and your registration and we will look it up.

We quote a fixed price that includes the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve, disposal of the old tyre and VAT, then agree a time. For emergencies in Chichester we aim for 30 to 60 minutes; booked jobs are usually same day or next day.

The fitter arrives in a fully equipped van, fits and balances the tyre next to the car, checks the pressures on the other three and takes the old tyre away for recycling through a licensed waste carrier.
For emergency call-outs in Chichester, Fishbourne, Tangmere and Bognor we aim for 30 to 60 minutes, traffic on the A27 permitting. Booked fittings are usually same day or next day at a time you choose. We give you an honest arrival time when you call.
Much of the centre is pedestrianised, so it is usually quicker to meet at the nearest car park, at your workplace or at home. If the car is parked in a residents' street inside the walls we can fit the tyre there as long as the van can stop beside it for around half an hour.
Yes. We attend the Festival of Speed, the Revival, race meetings and circuit days every year and we know the traffic plans. Tell us which car park or entrance you are at and we will give you an honest arrival time; the event's own marshals decide where a vehicle can be worked on inside the gates.
Yes. Bognor Regis, Felpham, Pagham, Barnham, Selsey, East and West Wittering, Birdham, Bosham, Emsworth, Southbourne, Lavant, Singleton and the villages up the A286 are all regular trips for us.
Get everyone out of the car and well away from the traffic, then call us. We attend the A27, the A259, the A286 and the A285 around Chichester 24 hours a day. If the verge is not safe to work on, we recover the car to a safer place first and fit the tyre there.
Both. A puncture in the central tread area is repaired to BS AU 159 for a flat fee. Damage to the sidewall, a tyre driven on while flat, or a bulge from a kerb strike cannot be repaired safely, and we will tell you so before we start.
Every area has its own page with local roads, postcodes and answers. You can also read about the full mobile tyre fitting service, our car towing and recovery service, or contact us with a question.
Do not wait at the roadside wondering who to call. One phone call gets a fitter or recovery truck on the way.
