Eastbourne is a long, flat seaside town with a steep western end at Meads and Beachy Head, a lot of drivers who would rather not change a wheel at the roadside, and plenty of cars that stand for weeks between trips. We cover the seafront, the town centre and Upperton (BN21), Meads, Old Town and the slopes up to Beachy Head (BN20), Hampden Park, Roselands, Seaside and Willingdon Trees (BN22), and Langney, Kingsmere, Shinewater and Sovereign Harbour (BN23).
Out of town we fit regularly in Polegate, Willingdon and Stone Cross, Pevensey, Pevensey Bay and Westham, Hailsham and Hellingly, and the villages behind the Downs at East Dean, Jevington and Alfriston. If you are not sure whether we reach you, contact us or call and we will tell you straight away.
Most traffic reaches Eastbourne down the A22 from Uckfield and Hailsham or along the A27 from Lewes and Brighton, and both meet at the Polegate and Cophall roundabouts before the run into town on the A2270 and Lottbridge Drove. A flat tyre on the single-carriageway A27 between Polegate and Lewes is awkward because there is almost nowhere to stop. Pull into the first lay-by or side road you can, get out of the car and call us. Tell us which roundabout you are near and we will tell you honestly how long we will be. We can also meet you at the Crumbles retail park, at the District General Hospital on Kings Drive or in a car park in town.
The A259 coast road through Pevensey Bay and over to Seaford and Newhaven is busy all summer, and the climb out of Meads to Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters is steep and exposed. We attend all of them around the clock, and we look after commuters using Eastbourne, Hampden Park and Polegate stations and fleets based on Lottbridge Drove, Brampton Road and the Hailsham industrial estates. If the tyre is wrecked or the wheel is damaged, a flatbed from our recovery service can take the car wherever it needs to go.
Car towing and recovery in EastbourneCars kept along Royal Parade, Grand Parade and at Sovereign Harbour suffer corroded alloy rims, which cause slow leaks around the bead, and sidewalls that crack in the sun. We clean and seal the rim when we refit and check the date code on older tyres.
A lot of Eastbourne's cars cover few miles and stand for weeks at a time. Tyres lose pressure, develop flat spots and crack along the sidewall long before the tread wears out. If the car has sat all winter, have the tyres looked at before a long run.
Beachy Head Road, Dukes Drive and the climb up through Old Town to the Downs wear the front tyres faster than the flat streets in town. Worn fronts and a wet, steep descent are a poor mix, so keep an eye on tread depth.
Seaside, Kings Drive, Lottbridge Drove, Langney Road and Willingdon Road break up every winter. A pothole can split the inner sidewall where you cannot see it, so if the car pulls or the wheel vibrates after a hit, have it checked.

Call or WhatsApp with your tyre size and your postcode. The size is printed on the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16. If you cannot read it, send a photo of the sidewall and your registration and we will look it up.

We quote a fixed price that includes the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve, disposal of the old tyre and VAT, then agree a time. For emergencies in Eastbourne we aim for 30 to 60 minutes; booked jobs are usually same day or next day.

The fitter arrives in a fully equipped van, fits and balances the tyre next to the car, checks the pressures on the other three and takes the old tyre away for recycling through a licensed waste carrier.
For emergency call-outs in Eastbourne, Hampden Park, Langney and Polegate we aim for 30 to 60 minutes, traffic on the A22 and the seafront permitting. Booked fittings are usually same day or next day at a time you choose. We give you an honest arrival time when you call.
Yes, and that is most of our Eastbourne work. We only need the car parked where we can stop beside it for around half an hour, on the road, a driveway or in a residents' car park, and we bring everything with us. You do not need to jack the car up or take the wheel off.
Get everyone out of the car and well away from the traffic, then call us. We attend the A22, the A27, the A259 and the A2270 around Eastbourne 24 hours a day. If the verge is not safe to work on, we recover the car to a safer place first and fit the tyre there.
Yes. Polegate, Willingdon, Stone Cross, Westham, Pevensey, Pevensey Bay, Hailsham, Hellingly, East Dean, Jevington and Alfriston are all regular trips for us. Narrow lanes over the Downs are no problem for the van.
Yes. We regularly fit in car parks on Lottbridge Drove, Brampton Road and the Hampden Park estates, at the District General Hospital, at Sovereign Harbour and the Crumbles retail park, and at the hotels along the seafront. Ask us about fleet arrangements if you run several vehicles.
Both. A puncture in the central tread area is repaired to BS AU 159 for a flat fee. Damage to the sidewall, a tyre driven on while flat, or a bulge from a kerb strike cannot be repaired safely, and we will tell you so before we start.
Every area has its own page with local roads, postcodes and answers. You can also read about the full mobile tyre fitting service, our car towing and recovery service, or contact us with a question.
Do not wait at the roadside wondering who to call. One phone call gets a fitter or recovery truck on the way.
