Worthing is the biggest town in West Sussex, spread along the coast with the A27 running straight through its northern suburbs rather than around them, so a flat tyre at Grove Lodge or Offington at rush hour is a real problem. We cover the town centre, the seafront and West Worthing (BN11), Goring-by-Sea and Ferring (BN12), Tarring, Durrington, Salvington and Findon Valley (BN13), and Broadwater, East Worthing and Sompting (BN14).
Along the coast we fit regularly in Lancing and Sompting (BN15), Shoreham-by-Sea (BN43), Rustington, East Preston and Angmering (BN16) and Littlehampton (BN17), and inland in Findon, Steyning, Clapham and Patching. If you are not sure whether we reach you, contact us or call and we will tell you straight away.
The A27 through Worthing is one of the slowest stretches of trunk road in the south, with the Lyons Farm, Offington and Grove Lodge roundabouts queuing most of the day, and the A24 from Horsham comes down through the Findon bypass to join it. A flat tyre there, or on Long Furlong between Findon and Clapham, leaves you with few safe places to stop. Pull into the first side road, lay-by or car park you can, get out of the car and call us. Tell us which roundabout or village you are near and we will tell you honestly how long we will be. We can meet you at Lyons Farm, at the hospital or in a seafront car park.
We also look after the A259 coast road through Goring, Ferring and Lancing, commuters using Worthing, West Worthing and Durrington-on-Sea stations, and fleets based on Dominion Way, Meadow Road and Downlands Business Park and at Shoreham Port and Brighton City Airport. If the tyre is wrecked or the wheel is damaged, a flatbed from our recovery service can take the car wherever it needs to go.
Car towing and recovery in WorthingTarring Road, Goring Road, Littlehampton Road, South Farm Road and Upper Brighton Road break up every winter. A pothole can split the inner sidewall where you cannot see it, so if the car pulls or the wheel vibrates after a hit, have it checked.
Cars kept along Marine Parade, Brighton Road, the Goring seafront and in Lancing suffer corroded alloy rims that leak slowly around the bead, and sidewalls that crack in the sun. We clean and seal the rim when we refit and check the date code on older tyres.
Plenty of Worthing's cars cover few miles and stand for weeks at a time. Tyres lose pressure, develop flat spots and crack along the sidewall long before the tread wears out. If the car has sat all winter, have the tyres looked at before a long run.
Shed tread and dropped fixings collect on the A27 and the A24, and the chalk lanes over the Downs to Findon, Clapham and Steyning are full of flints after rain. Most punctures are in the tread and can be repaired; a flint through the sidewall means a new tyre.
1
Call or WhatsApp with your tyre size and your postcode. The size is printed on the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16. If you cannot read it, send a photo of the sidewall and your registration and we will look it up.

We quote a fixed price that includes the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve, disposal of the old tyre and VAT, then agree a time. For emergencies in Worthing we aim for 30 to 60 minutes; booked jobs are usually same day or next day.

The fitter arrives in a fully equipped van, fits and balances the tyre next to the car, checks the pressures on the other three and takes the old tyre away for recycling through a licensed waste carrier.
For emergency call-outs in Worthing, Goring, Durrington, Lancing and Shoreham we aim for 30 to 60 minutes, traffic on the A27 permitting. Booked fittings are usually same day or next day at a time you choose. We give you an honest arrival time when you call.
Yes, and that is most of our Worthing work. We only need the car parked where we can stop beside it for around half an hour, on the road, a driveway or in a residents' car park, and we bring everything with us. You do not need to jack the car up or take the wheel off.
Get everyone out of the car and well away from the traffic, then call us. We attend the A27, the A24, the A259 and the A280 around Worthing 24 hours a day. If the verge is not safe to work on, we recover the car to a safer place first and fit the tyre there.
Yes. Lancing, Sompting, Shoreham-by-Sea, Ferring, Rustington, East Preston, Angmering, Littlehampton, Findon, Clapham, Patching and Steyning are all regular trips for us. Lanes over the Downs are no problem for the van.
Yes. We regularly fit in car parks on Dominion Way, Meadow Road and Downlands Business Park, at Worthing Hospital, at Lyons Farm and the retail parks, and at Shoreham Port and the airport. Ask us about fleet arrangements if you run several vehicles.
Both. A puncture in the central tread area is repaired to BS AU 159 for a flat fee. Damage to the sidewall, a tyre driven on while flat, or a bulge from a kerb strike cannot be repaired safely, and we will tell you so before we start.
Every area has its own page with local roads, postcodes and answers. You can also read about the full mobile tyre fitting service, our car towing and recovery service, or contact us with a question.
Do not wait at the roadside wondering who to call. One phone call gets a fitter or recovery truck on the way.
